A Sigh of Relief

I haven't really mentioned it since then, mostly because it was just too stressful/painful to even talk about. We went through hell over the last 4 months. Mostly because the police accused us of being involved and treated my wife more like a suspect than the victim she was.

A woman who is 8 months pregnant, is kidnapped at gunpoint from her home. So... what do you do? Well accuse her of orchestrating it of course! I really wish I was kidding.

Obviously, they had no evidence because we weren't involved.

The FBI and the Anaheim Police Department came to my home yesterday and apologized to my wife for the way that they treated her. Small consolation.

But, it's over...

Finally, as if you didn't have enough to deal with having a baby!

I know it's no consolation but 4 months is like a blink of an eye when it comes to the police, so that's a super quick conviction!

I would say sue them for being knobs, but it just drags it out. Better to just move on

Thanks dear.

They haven't been convicted quite yet, as it hasn't gone to trial. They've just been taken into custody yesterday. But they have full confessions, so I am hoping that it doesn't have to go through a full trial, and they'll just plead it out.

I am glad to hear such news; at least you can have a sense of closure. I know how hard it is to know they're still around... Now that it is over with, I am sure you'll both move on (and I trust Emma will drag you if you don't move on fast enough

)

I wish your and your wife the best, and the same to her colleague who got involved too. In our over-secured countries, such thing shouldn't even happen anymore...
